Summer Camps and Classes

Big Summer Camps – Voice, Piano, Guitar and World Drumming

What keeps kids coming back year after year? Our BIG Summer Camps are jam-packed with music, more music, and fun! Students of all levels and abilities will have the opportunity to learn to sing through the songs they love, as well as become acquainted with an instrument of their choosing: guitar, piano or world drumming. Highly qualified instructors will be at the camp to ensure a well-rounded educational experience and an exciting week. In addition to group instruction in voice and instruments, students will make friends, play games, and have an all-around musical good time!

Did we mention our BIG concert at the end of the week? That’s right at 2:00 pm each Friday of camp we gather for a real concert with a sound guy and lighting at a real venue, The Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge.

Songwriting Camp

Get excited for this one! Our piano/guitar/ukulele teacher Trevor Shipley is offering up his songwriting expertise in a one-week songwriting camp. This is the perfect opportunity for students to have a practical application for the music lessons and classes they have been taking. The camp will be structured with lessons, activities, and workshops with the ultimate goal of coming up with individual compositions as well as a collaborative group song. The only experience necessary is prior lessons or classes (or self-taught experience) in voice, piano, guitar, or ukulele. Voice students will learn basic chords to accompany themselves or will have some help from instrumental students.
