An Update on COVID-19 Precautions at Naptown Sings and Plays!

Hello Naptown Sings and Plays! Families,

With the Omicron variant of COVID-19 running rampant, I want to update you on the COVID-19 precautions we have in place to keep everyone protected.

Class Sizes: Until the Omicron variant is under control, we are going to cap our Musikgarten (Ages 0-3) and Music Immersion (Ages 2.5-6) classes to 8 students per class. All other group classes (older kids) will be capped at 12, as they have been through the pandemic.

Masks: Masks are required of all people 5 and up at our studio. They are highly suggested for ages 2-4.

Virtual Option: All of our group classes will remain in-person. However, if you wish take a class, but virtually (or virtually until Omicron dies down), you are welcome to do so. Just let us know after you register so we know to make accommodations.

Distancing: Our teachers and staff have committed to social distancing as much as possible during lessons and classes.

Air Filters: Our HVAC is equipped with a MERV 13 filter. In addition, every room in the studio is equipped with standing high-powered 4-in-1 air filters that filter via double HEPA filters, charcoal, and UV-C. Our big group classroom has 3 of these filters running for extra protection.

Exposed, Positive or Symptomatic Students: Exposed, positive, or symptomatic students will have to option to go virtual for any class or lesson that they take. Our studio is equipped with technology to switch to virtual as necessary. In addition, if a student has to miss a week of Musikgarten or Music Immersion, they are welcome to make up those classes on a different day of the week during the semester.

Lobby: Our lobby will remain open at this time, but we recommend waiting in your car until your lesson or class time.

Sanitization: Our staff, cleaning staff, teachers and interns will continue to sanitize surfaces and materials used. Musikgarten and Music Immersion students will continue to bring their own instrument packs to class each week, and all studio instruments will be sanitized after use.

Our doors have been open and classes have continued in-person since September 2020. While COVID-19 has entered our building, it has not spread within our walls. We will do everything in our power to continue to uphold the safety standards we have set in place from the get-go, so that the music will go on.

If you haven’t registered for Winter yet, but plan to, the number of spots remaining in classes is much more limited, now. Here’s a link to our class offerings and registration: https://naptownsings.com/

Thank you for your continued support.
