Our Teachers – Anthony Staiti

Anthony Staiti

Guitar, Ukulele, Electronic Music

We are excited to welcome Mr. Anthony Staiti to the Naptown Sings and Plays staff. Mr. Anthony is an experienced guitarist operating primarily in the worlds of rock, jazz, and experimental music. His principal interests are genre-bending through-compositions and free improvisation. In addition to performing with some of the most expressive musicians in the Baltimore/ DC area, he has toured much of the Eastern United States and Canada. Today, he also writes electronic-centric music under the name Dusty Guts. Anthony earned his Master of Arts degree from The Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in 2019.

He brings the same enthusiasm and passion he has for creating and performing to teaching. Another perk, Mr. Anthony teaches electronic music composition to students with an interest in this groundbreaking music genre.

Why we like Mr. Anthony. He is a true musical pro. He knows it all and has done it all, from touring nationally, to composition, to recording arts, to even a Master’s degree from one of the best music schools in the country. He literally lives and breathes music, and we are excited that he will bring his amazing professional experience to our students. Mr. Anthony has a great calm demeanor and teaching style with his kids. He teaches them about the whole instrument, visually and technically.
